Platform & Getting Started

How do I start publishing?

Here are the steps to begin publishing on our site: 1. Create an account here 2. Choose your publications 3. Add to cart 4. Checkout Once you checkout, you'll be prompted to submit a draft, or you can fill out the provided questionnaire and our writers will upload first drafts directly to your dashboard.

How can I see pricing?

You have instant access to pricing across all of our publications once you create an account in Presscart.

How does payment work?

The Presscart purchase experience is powered by Stripe. Simply add articles into your cart and checkout. We accept payment via card, bank account, Afterpay, Klarna, and Affirm.

Why does my ACH payment show as deducted but the order is incomplete?

ACH transfers can take 3-5 business days to clear on Stripe's side even after your bank shows the debit. Your order is held during this window. Email support@presscart.com with the order ID and we will reconcile it as soon as the transfer settles.

Can I pay via wire transfer, invoice, or alternative methods?

For larger orders or recurring agency volume we support wire transfer and direct invoicing (typically Net 15). Reach out via the talk-to-sales page to set this up.

Do you guarantee publication?

Yes. You choose the outlet and we guarantee the placement.

Writing & Content

Can you write my articles?

Yes we can. Presscart is at it's core, a publishing company. With that being said, we do offer writing as a free service for our clients. We recommend this service for agencies who are looking for a high-output publishing partner. For individuals who would like to invest in standalone, quality writing we suggest uploading your own article. Our biggest advantage is being able to provide you with a platform for you to control your own narrative.

Can I write my own articles?

We recommend you upload your own articles. However, our publishing team will need to review your piece prior to submitting it for publishing.

Can I bring my own draft?

Yes. Upload your content and our editors will refine it for compliance, clarity, and publication.

Can I rewrite my article?

Our clients have the opportunity to give immediate feedback to our writers in real-time. Clients are given two free revisions. Once you approve an article for publishing, you will not be able to make changes as publishing team will have sent your approved piece to the outlet for immediate publishing.

Will the articles be published word for word?

Yes, unless marked otherwise. Our articles are published word-for-word as you approve.

Is the content human-written?

Yes. All content is written by human editors, verified for accuracy, and compliant with editorial guidelines.

Do I need to write the article?

No. We handle the writing - or you can upload your own draft.

Do publishers check for AI-generated content?

Yes. Most major outlets run AI-detection tools and require human-written content scoring below roughly 50% AI. Articles flagged above the threshold are returned for revision before publication. Our Editorial Studio writes below this threshold by default. If you upload your own draft, we will flag and rewrite anything unlikely to pass before submission.

My article was flagged for AI content - what happens?

We forward the publisher's revision request, our editors rewrite the flagged sections to fall below the threshold, and we resubmit. Your turnaround clock pauses while revisions are in flight, and there is no extra charge for compliance rewrites.

Publishing & Timeline

How long does this process take?

Turnaround times are accurate and displayed directly on our media list. Please view all turnaround times at https://presscart.com. For those who have Presscart write an article for them, your turnaround time will begin once you approve our final draft.

How fast does press go live?

Most articles go live in days to a few weeks.

How fast will my story go live?

Usually within days to a few weeks depending on the outlet.

How fast can we publish?

Most articles go live in days to a few weeks.

My article has been denied by the publisher, now what?

There are two options: 1. You are given a full refund, processed via your financial institution in 5-10 business days. 2. You can checkout an alternate publication of your choice that is the same price as your original selection. We will add credit to your account in the backend upon request so no payment is required.

When exactly does Placement Assurance trigger?

Placement Assurance triggers when the chosen publisher confirms they will not publish the article (after revisions are exhausted) or when the publication does not go live by the agreed-upon deadline despite both sides meeting their requirements. At that point you choose either a full refund or a price-matched swap to another outlet.

Can I switch outlets before the article publishes?

Yes. If you change your mind before publication, you can swap to any outlet at the same price level and we will redirect editorial work toward the new target. We preserve writing already done where possible; if the new outlet has different requirements, our editors will revise.

What if the article publishes with errors or content I did not approve?

We send a final on-page proof before going live - your approval is the signoff. If something slips through (typo, wrong byline, missing link) we request the publisher to correct it. If the publisher refuses or the issue is structural (wrong article, wrong outlet), the order falls under Placement Assurance and you can refund or swap.

Are there any requirements?

Some outlets have requirements, some do not. Upon adding a publication to your cart, please view any requirements outlined in red at that time. Only upload an article that meets the published requirements. Articles that do not meet these publishing requirements will be automatically rejected by the publisher.

I have a hard deadline (product launch, fundraise, holiday, filing date) - can you guarantee timing?

Each publication shows its turnaround in the marketplace. For hard deadlines, we recommend choosing outlets with the tightest displayed TAT, and our team will confirm with the publisher up front. If a publication cannot commit to your date, we will suggest a price-matched swap before you order so you do not lose time on the wrong outlet.

Technical & Compliance

What happens if a publisher flags a claim as legally risky or defamatory?

Publishers will return drafts with specific phrases flagged for softening - typically comparative claims against named parties, allegations, or unsourced statistics. We work with you to revise the language to satisfy the publisher's editorial standards without losing the story's substance, then resubmit at no extra charge.

Do I need to provide sources for claims about funding, investors, customers, or revenue?

Yes when a publisher asks. Outlets like Business Insider routinely require a source link for statements such as 'backed by [investor]' or specific revenue and customer claims. We will request sources from you when a publisher needs them, and softer phrasing is available if a claim cannot be sourced publicly.

Special Use Cases

Can I use the press in ads?

Yes. Many brands use press logos, quotes, and articles in paid ads - improving ROAS and lowering acquisition costs.

Can I use press logos in my store and ads?

Yes. Most fashion brands use media logos on PDPs, landing pages, and paid ads.

Can I publish a founder profile?

Yes. Founder stories are one of our most popular formats.

Do I need traction or users to get press?

No. Presscart works for pre-launch, stealth, and zero-revenue companies. The article is built around your vision, market thesis, founder background, and product approach - not traction milestones. Many founders use first placements precisely to create the credibility that unlocks investor meetings, hires, and early users.

Can I get press for a product that hasn't shipped yet?

Yes. Pre-launch coverage is one of the most common formats. We position the piece around the problem you are solving, why now, and your roadmap rather than current customers. If your product is in stealth, we can frame the article around your category point of view rather than the product itself.

Will publishers cover an unannounced or stealth product?

Yes - within each publisher's own confidentiality norms. We can schedule the article to publish on your launch date and the outlet will not pre-promote it before then. Specifics you do not want public yet stay off the record until you are ready.

Do you work with beauty, footwear, and jewelry brands?

Yes. Any lifestyle or fashion-adjacent category is supported.

Can I use Presscart to support applications that require evidence of expertise or professional recognition?

Yes. Many founders use Presscart placements as part of expert-credentialing or recognition packages. We coordinate on narrative framing - typically emphasizing future vision, field expertise, and contributions to your industry rather than current traction - and select outlets that meet evidentiary standards. Tight deadlines are common in these cases, so flag your filing date when you order and we will confirm timing up front.

Can my attorney, advisor, or outside counsel review articles before I approve them?

Yes. We send transcripts and drafts directly to you, and you can forward them to anyone on your side. We only proceed once you (and any reviewers you loop in) have approved.

Can the article focus on my field expertise without naming my current employer?

Yes. We frequently write pieces that position the founder as a general subject-matter expert rather than tying the story to one employer. This is useful when your employer requires confidentiality, when you want a broader thought-leadership angle, or when an outside reviewer recommends framing you as an industry-wide expert.

Agencies & White-Label

Can my agency manage placements for multiple clients under one account?

Yes. Agencies regularly run dozens of clients through Presscart at once. Orders are organized by client, and you can submit, approve, and track each placement separately.

Do you white-label proofs and live links for client-facing reporting?

Yes. We provide raw URLs, on-page proofs, and screenshots so you can roll deliverables into your own client reports without surfacing the Presscart platform.

How do you handle revisions when client, agency, and publisher all want different edits?

We treat the agency as the single approving authority unless told otherwise, and route publisher requests (AI-detection rewrites, claim softening, source asks) through one named account contact per client. This avoids cross-talk and keeps the revision clock moving.

Do you offer agency volume pricing?

Yes. Agencies running consistent monthly volume qualify for negotiated rates. Reach out to sales with your expected placement count and we will quote.

Platform Features & Policies

Why haven't I heard about this method of press?

The only thing new about Presscart is our proprietary press platform. Our method of providing high-quality press without the back and forth of traditional PR is of our own creation. Presscart has exclusivity agreements with Tribune Publishing, A360, Hearst Media, and more. For the past 6 years, these longstanding relationships have grown into ironclad partnerships. It is because of these partnerships, that we are able to create a reliable and automated platform for press placements.

How is this different than a press release?

Press releases are a companies mouthpiece to the public. They are best utilized when bringing attention toward large company updates. Press releases do not contribute to your overall SEO health. These releases make it highly apparent that a company has paid for this to be published and they're generally not accepted as true press coverage. Presscart does not publish press releases; we only publish high-quality, organic and partnered articles. The articles our clients publish through Presscart are exactly the same as an organic article you would see in any major publication.

Do I have an account manager?

No, because Presscart is an automated publishing platform, there's no need for a dedicated account manager. You can view, edit, and approve all of your articles directly from within the Presscart account dashboard.

Will you always have the same outlets available?

No, in an instance where a publisher or Presscart choose not to renew a publishing contract, the outlet will be immediately removed from our platform.

Will you add new outlets?

Yes, we update our platform once per month. Upon creating an account, you will receive an email notification as soon as we add the latest publications each month.

What topics do you publish?

News, Business, Lifestyle, Technology, Entertainment, Fashion, Music, Cryptocurrency, Luxury, Real Estate, Gaming

What does "Exclusive" mean?

We are proud to have exclusivity agreements with three of the largest media companies anywhere in the world. This agreement authorizes Presscart as an exclusive 3rd party reseller, with the lowest prices possible.

What does "Inquire" mean?

If you would like to purchase an article with such option, please input the information asked when prompted on our platform. A publication is set as an inquiry-first option if there are additional points you must review with a Presscart account manager. Please email us about any interest at hello@presscart.com

How do you vet the publishers in the marketplace?

Every publication on Presscart is reviewed before listing for: real editorial output (not made-for-PR sites), domain authority, indexing in Google News and standard search, audience fit, and willingness to honor Placement Assurance. Outlets that stop publishing reliably or fall below standards are removed from the marketplace.

Are these real publications or sponsored-content sites?

Real publications. Presscart's catalog is editorial outlets that publish independent content, not pay-to-publish farms. Some are exclusive Presscart partners (national business titles, syndicated network sites) and some are independent niche publications - in both cases, the article reads and indexes as editorial.

Can I see domain authority, traffic, and audience data before ordering?

Yes. Each publication's listing shows DA/DR, traffic estimate, audience focus, do-follow status, and turnaround alongside the per-placement price. This lets you decide based on the metrics that matter to you - links, brand reach, or AEO citation - before checkout.

Do outlets disclose articles published through Presscart as sponsored?

Disclosure varies by outlet. Some label paid editorial as "sponsored" or "partner content"; others publish under their standard editorial templates. The disclosure policy, if any, is shown on each publication's listing in the marketplace so you know exactly what the live article will look like before ordering.

Content Requirements & Restrictions

Do your articles include photos?

Most outlets require at least one image; a small number allow image-free publication. The image policy is shown on each publication's listing in the marketplace, and our team will confirm with the publisher when uncertain.

What format must my image be in?

16:9 aspect ratio, original (or licensed for editorial use), and high resolution. Blurry, low-resolution, or screenshot-style images are commonly returned for replacement before the article goes live.

Can I publish without an image?

Some outlets accept image-free publication; many require at least one. If you would prefer not to include an image, we will check with the publisher up front and either confirm or recommend a price-matched outlet that allows it.

Can multiple outlets publish the same article?

No. Due to laws against plagiarism, we do not allow a single article to be circulated among multiple outlets. In addition, this type of publishing will hurt the overall SEO health of your business or client.

Will my article be archived by the publisher?

Each live permalink will remain on the publishers website, indefinitely.

Can I promote my published article?

Yes of course! Share your articles in any capacity you wish.

Can I promote affiliate products?

No, you can not promote affiliate links within any purchased article.

Are there prohibited topics you can't publish?

No, you can not promote affiliate links within any purchased article.

Developers & Integrations

Does Presscart have an API?

Yes. Presscart offers a public REST API and an MCP server for AI agents. Through the API you can browse outlets, place orders, fetch questionnaire prompts, submit drafts, and check article status programmatically.

Is there a sandbox or test environment for the API?

Reach out and we will designate a test account so you can build against real endpoints without triggering live transactions. A formal hosted sandbox is on the roadmap.

Are webhooks available for order and article status?

Webhooks are on the roadmap. In the meantime, status can be polled via the order endpoint, and most partners use a periodic poll until webhooks ship.

Can I embed Presscart inside my own product or marketplace?

Yes. Several partners run Presscart placements inside their own platforms - for example case-management or compliance products that surface press as a deliverable. The API and MCP server were built specifically to support this.
